Watta Wella Renewable Energy Project

A new renewable energy project in Australia

Acknowledgement of Country

In planning for Australia's clean energy future, RES acknowledges its rich history. We pay our respects to the Wotjobaluk, Jaadwa, Jardwadjali, Wergaia and Jupagalk Peoples (often collectively referred to as the Wotjobaluk Nations) as the Traditional Custodians of the Country on which the Watta Wella Renewable Energy Project is proposed. We recognise their ongoing connection to land and waterways, and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

The Project

The proposed Watta Wella Renewable Energy Project consists of a co-located wind farm and battery energy storage facility. The proposed location for the Project is approximately 16 kilometers north east of Stawell, in north west Victoria.

RES is currently finalising a range of technical and environmental studies and intends to submit planning applications for the Watta Wella renewable energy project in mid 2024. If successful, the project will commence construction in 2026.
